Bailey Hanks
(Elle Woods)

I could not be more thrilled to be making my Broadway debut in my favorite show in the role of a lifetime. This is truly a dream come true! I grew up in South Carolina and have always loved Broadway shows but didn’t know how I was going to get here. Thanks to MTV’s “Search for Elle Woods” (and my dad for driving me to the Nashville auditions), I get to do what I was born to do for all of you. Some of my favorite roles that I have performed are: Seussical (Gertrude McFuzz), Bye Bye Birdie (Kim McAfee), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Philia), Gypsy (Baby June). I also had the unique experience of singing The National Anthem at a National Democratic Fundraiser for President Bill Clinton in 2000. I’d like to thank my amazing parents for their constant love and support and for believing in me. Special thanks to Jerry Mitchell, Bernie Telsey, Heather Hach and Paul Canaan for this opportunity and Joan Lader! Snaps!
