The Silent Treatment

A dog is a lifetime commitment. Getting a dog is like marriage: ‘til death do you part. Make sure you know who your new partner is before getting into bed with them. Put in the time to do a little research...it’ll save a lot of trouble later.
Don't be a Dog Whisperer, be a Dog Listener. Make an effort to get to know your dog's side of the story. Don't just force your own ideas on him or her.
Patience is a virtue. Don't get mad if your dog doesn't always listen to you. Remain cool, calm and collected. Leave your anger at the “stage” door.
Practice makes perfect. The best way to get to Carnegie Hall (and have a good relationship with your dog) is practice, practice, practice. Both of you need to put in the effort. Don't expect your dog to jump through hoops while you just sit on the sidelines.
Ask an expert. Don't expect to automatically have all the answers when it comes to training your dog. If you don't know, ask a professional for help.

As Bill Berloni walked in circles around his Chihuahua mix Frankie, the small dog's large eyes followed its owner. Round and round its little neck craned, but its body stayed perfectly still.

The Silent Treatment

CHICO is a dog. But Chico is also a Broadway star! He’s in newspaper ads and on posters! The marketing strategy of “Legally Blonde: The Musical” is all but centered on him.

Broadway's Going To The Dogs

"The dogs help open the show with a really fun trick. The director, Jerry Mitchell, wanted a bangup number involving Bruiser."

And your little dog, too!

Thank 'Legally Blonde' for the city's most enduring trend: Toting tiny pooches
